About Murger Han

Let me introduce you to Murger Han, a Chinese noodle restaurant tucked into central London at 8A Sackville St, London W1S 3DF, United Kingdom, a spot I usually describe as comforting, lively, and refreshingly straightforward. From the moment you step inside, the focus is clearly on handmade noodles and bold, northern Chinese flavors, yet the atmosphere stays casual and welcoming rather than formal or fussy. Murger Han feels like the kind of place you can drop into for a quick bite during a busy afternoon, but it also works just as well for a relaxed sit-down meal with friends, especially if you enjoy sharing small plates and talking over steaming bowls. The menu leans into variety, which makes it easy to tailor your visit, whether you’re craving something light or planning to sample several dishes in one go. Vegetarian options are thoughtfully included, so mixed groups never feel limited, and free water refills keep things easy and unpretentious. While the food is clearly the star, the drinks selection adds another layer to the experience, with beer, wine, spirits, and even happy-hour drinks that make it a popular early-evening stop. Service options are flexible too, which matters in a city like London, as Murger Han offers no-contact delivery, standard delivery, takeaway, and dine-in, letting you enjoy the same flavors wherever suits you best. It’s also a handy reference point for anyone exploring the area, since the location is easy to reach and fits naturally into a day of shopping, work meetings, or casual city wandering. I often recommend it to people who appreciate food that’s fast without feeling rushed, authentic without feeling intimidating, and satisfying without trying too hard. In a neighborhood filled with polished dining rooms, Murger Han stands out by keeping things honest, flavorful, and focused on what really matters: good noodles, a friendly vibe, and the freedom to enjoy them your way.

We love the biang biang noodles here. The quality has remained consistently good over the years. We come by every now and then to fix our cravings. One of the best things about dining here is that, unlike most London restaurants, they don’t add the “optional” 12.5% service charge to the bill, so you only pay for the food and drinks.

My first time tasting this cuisine outside of my visit to Xi’an and I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors definitely suit my palate more as a non-local visitor. The Steamed Wheat Noodles with Seasonal Veggies & Wheat Gluten may look red and oily, but don’t be fooled! It’s not spicy at all. It pairs perfectly with the cold veggie appetizer! There was one male staff member who was genuinely professional—polite, attentive, and carried himself with such great etiquette. I’d honestly come back just for the service. Truly exemplary.

Took 10 of my colleagues there for a quick dinner before heading off to an evening event, the food and service was both great and I'm so glad there is another authentic Chinese food place that actually offers services. Price was very reasonable, we all had main and drink, with a few snacks to share and the bill was just over £20 each. Reservation was quick and easy. And beef rib noodle is certainly the one with highest rating tonight among the different murger, noodle, and pots we ordered.

As always, it has received a five-star rating. This is the 7~8 time I have tried noodles from this brand. The price is reasonable and affordable, especially with the option of unlimited refill for just less than ten pounds. Very positive. Great value for money, I recommend everyone to come

Murger Han is one of my favourite spots in London. Especially their Biang Biang Noodles are amazing. Freshly made, chewy noodles and even free noodle refills! I also recommend their crispy Burger. Better than toasted in my opinion. And the chicken wings are really nice. It’s hidden menu ;) I often visit Euston branch but this time I visit Mayfair branch and there were friendly staff, great vibes, and super good value despite this area. Highly recommended.

I have been wanting to try biang biang noodle with chili oil splash, and reviews said theirs are one of the best. So after the morning of marveling at the magical creatures at and serenity of St James Park, and admiring the novelty of changing of the guard at the Buckingham Palace, I walked all the way to this branch of Murger Han, not yet sure about what I want to order (spoilt by too many reccos, I suppose). Made it there right after they opened, to find their understated decor yet elegant with splashes of humor, excellent customer service (without the compulsory service charge! As advertised on their door, great service is supposed to be a given, they said), oh and the food. So glad I decided on their chili oil splash noodle with pork ribs. Succulent, tender, tasty meat with flavour absorbed all over the soft but chewy wide noodle :) I believe joy was written across my face. Patrons seem to be either a regular, or a newly intrigued ones like myself - soon to be a convert I suppose, definitely happy to recommend and to come back again to try their other menu. But maybe again the pork ribs for the next visit.

First time here and it’s defo my top 3 hand pull noodle shops in London! I ordered the crispy duck murger, THAT THIS IS DELICIOUS!!! Make sure you order the crispy one, it’s basically the same as crispy green onion cake back in Taiwan!!! The hand pulled noodle I got the 5 colour combo, the noodle WAS SO GOOD!!! Perfect chewy texture, both meat was delicious add well cooked! Will defo come back for more!

First time visiting this place, which my wife recommended. Since it was cold and raining outside, We ordered a bowl (humongous!) of slow-cooked beef soup with vermicelli, Murger and tofu plus cold spinach with sesame dressing. Upon tasting the cold spinach, it was so good that I wanted to consume it in one seating! Next was the beef soup and it was so delicious! The broth was flavourful and the beef strips are so soft! Then we tried the Murger and it was so good as well! I’ll be coming back to try their signature Biang Biang Noodles next time! Highly recommended especially if you’re craving hot soup during the winter season! And may I also add that they have great customer service so kudos to the team!
